Kō Luke Baker toku ingoa. I’m a trained actor who’s made his way off the stage and deeper into the dark, rich soil of Tāmaki Makaurau.
By day I’m a gardening educator, working alongside primary-aged kids at a central Auckland school and managing over 80m2 of productive food gardens.
By evening, I’m part of the rōpu at Growing Point and working in the mara kai at Dignan St Community Garden in Point Chevalier. This is the experimental part of my mahi, satisfying my nerdy obsession with soil microbes and growing vegetables for anyone who will eat them.
By night, I’m a food writer and cook running Supper Clubs, catering for parties and waxing lyrical about the merits of olive oil.
Mauri ora,
Luke x
